CRISPR/cas9在7号染色体的 apoE( Apoe)基因中插入了序列，这个基因包含一个条件性倒置(COIN)元件，包含人类基因组序列的APOE3的2-4号外显子以及3'端1500bp的UTR。APOE3序列在3号外显子下游有一个loxP位点，4号外显子后有polyA信号，接着是反向排列的APOE4的4号外显子的lox2272位点，然后是另一个loxP和lox2272位点，最后是APOE3的3' UTR。参考文献：(J:101977)
