对于转基因插入部分，从CD-1品系中Gata3转录起始点大约-4500bp的基因组序列，至内含子2的5'端（包括上游调节序列，如branchial arch enhancer Rr339，以及exon 1b, intron 1b, exon 2和内含子2的一部分），通过插入β-半乳糖苷酶报告基因座（包含poly(A)信号序列）替换了Gata3的ATG起始位点。该报告基因在胚胎肢体芽、肋间肌、颅神经节、鳃弓和生殖管芽中表达。（来源：J:332297）
