The loxP flanked exon 4 was removed via cre-mediated recombination in the germline. Homozygous mutant testes lack the full-length transcript but show the presence of aberrant transcripts. Western blot analysis demonstrated the absence of protein expression in testes. Immunofluorescence analysis confirmed the absence of protein in spermatocytes. (J:326601)
