An open reading frame corresponding to amino acids 1-520 of the mouse Neurl1a gene (Genbank: BC099702) is fused to a Flag tag epitope and subsequently cloned into tetO plasmid pMM400. An SV40 polyadenylation (polyA) site in the plasmid was replaced with a human growth hormone (HGH) polyA site. This is a dominant-negative form of Neurl1a that lacks its RING Zn finger, the domain that possesses the ubiquitin ligase activity. (J:178916)
