Exon 1 was targeted with two sgRNAs (targeting GTTGGACCGGGACTCCTGCT and CGTGGACCCGCTGGAGCAAG) using CRISPR/Cas9 technology, resulting in a 32 bp deletion (CCCGGTCCAACCGTGGACCCGCTGGAGCAAGT) that causes a frameshift and premature stop codon (p.(Pro44Glyfs*13)).
