A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 2 and a floxed neomycin selection cassette was inserted downstream of exon 2 via homologous recombination. A third loxP site was inserted at the 3' end of the coding sequence. Cre mediated recombination removed the neomycin selection cassette. (J:288340)
