Exon 1 was targeted with two TALENs (GCACCATGCCTGCCTG and AGTAGGAGGCCAGCGGC), resulting in a 17 bp deletion (TCGCCTCTGCTTGCTGG). qRT-PCR and Western blots showed absence of mRNA and protein expression from this allele. (J:293623)
