Tg(Thy1/THY1)T6Gsv

This transgene consists of a hybrid Thy1 gene in which a 5.7 kb EcoRI-ApaI mouse Thy1a (Thy1.1) gene fragment containing the first 4 exons (including exons 1a and 1b) and part of exon 4 are fused to a 3.4 kb ApaI-EcoRI human THY1 DNA sequence containing the remaining noncoding part of exon 4 plus 3' human flanking sequence. Four lines were generated; T6, T9, T11, and T12. The mature protein resulting from this transgene is completely Thy1a. The T6 line expresses very high levels of transgene. (J:133943)
