Using recombineering with BAC RP23-401E11, the tdTomato red fluorescent gene (including SV40 poly(A) signal sequences) was inserted into exon 1, interrupting the endogenous signal peptide sequence. This creates a reporter knockout allele with the reporter gene driven by the endogenous promoter. (J:294335)
