Two deletions were created in exon 1, 19 bp and 6 bp flanking 16 bp intact sequence, using gRNA 5'-GGGTGCCCTGATGCAGGGTTAGG-3' with CRISPR/Cas9 technology. The double deletion causes a frameshift and subsequent premature stop codon in exon 2. Western blot experiments confirmed the loss of protein expression from this allele. (J:284934)
