CRISPR/Cas9 technology using two sgRNAs 5'-CATGATTGGGCAAGCACCCT-3' and 5'-GTGGGGTATAGGTCACCAC-3' generated a glycine to arginine substitution at amino acid 390 (G390R). The mouse G390R mutation is equivalent to the human G396R variant commonly found in East Asian populations and is correlated with susceptibility to systemic lupus erythematosus. (J:266937)
