通过修改RP23-39F11小鼠BAC克隆，插入了核定位信号(Cre-pA) cassette和FRT-Amp-FRT序列到Slc6a4基因的起始翻译位点，构建了Tg构造。在获得的BAC构建中，通过细菌中的flp/FRT重组去除了Amp序列。Tg纯合品系小鼠通过将线性化构建注入C57BL/6受精卵中产生。总共产生了至少六条品系，其中两条(208和810)显示出相似的表达模式。(来源：J:216132)
