A loxP-flanked neomycin selection cassette, mKate2 followed by beta globin pA and Ddx3y genomic seq exons 8-17, is inserted into the 3'UTR of the gene. Most tissues express the mKate2 red fluorescent protein gene in male mice only. There is variation in expression between tissues. (J:276824)
