这个转基因包含了鸡β-actin（CX1）启动子，后面跟着一个由loxP位点标记的EGFP基因，包括一个终止密码，以及一个由甘氨酸-苯丙氨酸-甘氨酸突变为三个Alanine的Kcnj8阴性突变型。除非Cre重组酶表达，否则EGFP会被剪切，导致突变型Kcnj8的表达。生成了三条线，但仅选了一条进行进一步研究。（来源：J:134852）
