Tg(Thy1-EYFP/difopein)142Yzho

The mouse promoter drives neuronal expression of a fusion gene expressing the EYFP yellow fluorescent protein fused to the N-terminus of difopein (a dimeric-Ywhaq-inhibitor). Transgene expressing line 142, with minimal expression in pyramidal neurons in the CA1 subregion of the hippocampus and expression in only a fraction of the CA3 neurons, was chosen for further study.
