这个转基因是通过将含有C3H正常着色小鼠种系中酪氨酸酶基因及其5'上游DNA（通过调控区LCR，位于基因约12kb上游）的酵母人工染色体(YAC，代号YRT3)微注射到受精的雌鼠卵子中产生的。它在缺失了部分5'序列的情况下，成功证明了其表达，因为它能完全恢复白化(Tyrc/Tyrc)小鼠的色素表型。这个转基因品系尚未公开发布。(来源：J:223068)
