这个转基因是通过一个双向的四环素响应元件（tetO，又称tet响应元件（TRE，TetRE）或tet操作子，Bi-L-Tet）设计的，它位于两个相反方向的CMV最小启动子之间。CMV的一个启动子驱动表达小鼠的DEK致癌基因（DNA结合）（Dek）基因，后面跟着一个polyA信号，而另一个CMV报告基因驱动表达的是荧光素酶（luc）报告基因，后面跟着SV40的polyA信号。来源：(J:261249)
