Tg(Myh6-Pparg)#Ijg

The transgene insert comprises the following: 5.4 kb of genomic sequence containing the mouse myosin heavy chain alpha (cardiac) promoter and exons 1-3, a cDNA for the gamma1 isoform of the mouse Pparg gene and poly(A) features. This allele drives overexpression of the inserted gene in the heart, as shown by RT-PCR experiments. Two lines were used for furher study: a high expressing line and a low expressing line. (J:127393)
