设计了一个靶向载体，用于在X染色体上Methyl-CpG结合域蛋白1(Mbd1)基因的第15外显子上游插入一个由loxP序列标记的诺卡因(neo)抗性元件。载体中插入了23个氨基酸的Tavi标签，使得在大肠杆菌生物素连接酶BirA存在时，MBD2蛋白能进行生物素化。此标签紧接在Mbd1的终止密码子之后。将这些载体导入B6.FVB-Tg(EIIa-cre)C5379Lmgd/J转基因小鼠(Stock No. 003724)中，通过杂交操作移除了neo元件。(来源：J:240794)
