将含有改良cre重组酶(带有polyA信号序列)的cDNA插入到小鼠Stab2基因的第1外显子中，通过BAC克隆，使得cre表达由BAC基因的调控序列驱动。由此得到的改造BAC被用来构建这个转基因。识别出三个杂交系，1.1、1.2和1.3。实验中使用了在肝窦内皮细胞中显示cre活性的1.2线。(来源：J:243226)
