Using an sgRNA (5'-GCAAGACTGGCTTCAGGCCTG-3') targeting the exon 3 splice acceptor site with CRISPR/Cas9, an allele with a 12 bp deletion of that site was created. Exon 3 has high homology to the human ortholog and its splice site is conserved. Only one progeny was born. (J:241346)
