The human diphtheria toxin receptor, pro-HB-EGF (precursor of heparin-binding EGF-like growth factor), is under the control of the cardiac-specific alpha-myosin heavy chain promoter. Administration of diphtheria toxin induces ablation of transgene-expressing cardiomyocytes. Two lines were generated, however the pound symbol (#) is used when line is not specified and/or lines are pooled. (J:93335)
