A dominant-negative mutant neuron-restrictive silencer factor cDNA is under the control of the cardiac-specific alpha-MHC promoter. Two lines, 471 and 474, were generated. mRNA is expressed at a level 27-fold higher than endogenous mRNA in this line. Western blot confirmed that expression is restricted to the heart, though weak expression is seen in the lung. (J:86837)
