An NF-kappaB responsive minigene containing three tandem HIV-derived kappaB binding element repeats was placed proximal to a minimal promoter derived from SV40. Upon NF-kappaB binding, this construct drives expression of beta-galactosidase that was modified to include an SV40 T-antigen-derived nuclear localization sequence. 10 founder lines were generated, and three founder lines (17814, 17815, and 17819) were kept and studied further.
