An internal ribosome entry sequence (IRES) followed by a second sequence encoding Olfr151 followed by a second IRES followed by GFP was inserted just downstream of the endogenous coding sequence of Olfr151, resulting in tricistronic expression that yields 2 copies of Olfr151 and one copy of GFP to double the expression level of Olfr151 from one allele.
