一个PGK-氨霉素表达载体已经替换了基因的1.5kb5'非编码区和前3个外显子。RT-PCR检测显示这些区域没有基因转录， Western blot分析证实了在纯合突变小鼠肺组织中没有蛋白质表达。对2倍稀释的鼠血清进行的定量ELISA也未检测到蛋白质，免疫组织化学分析进一步证实了动脉组织中未发现该蛋白质。(引用文献：J:233818)
