This transgene comprises a single, stably integrated copy of a pTRIP deltaU3-derived lentiviral vector containing the coding sequences for green flourescent protein (GFP) and mouse FK506 binding protein 11 (FKBP11, also called FKBP19) under transcriptional control of the human ubiquitin C (UBC) gene promoter. A DNA segment between the GFP and Fbkb11 sequences that encodes a "self-cleaving" picornavirus T2A peptide results in stoichiometric coexpression of the two proteins. (J:227176)
