A conditional-ready gene trap cassette with F3, Frt, LoxP, and Lox511 sites flanking a beta-geo reporter was inserted into exon 1 and subsequent Cre- and Flp-mediated excision yielded this allele in which the inverted insertion was re-inverted to the forward orientation on the positive strand so transcription is disrupted resulting in the final null allele configuration.
