Mitochondria with a ChrM:7731G>A mutation in the mitochondrially encoded lysine tRNA were identified in P29 cells. Cybrids created in B82 cells lacking mitochondrial DNA and then transferred to TT2-F ES cells were introduced into 8-cell stage embryos of ICR mice. Cybrids were estimated to have 70% mutant DNA.
