The bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) RP11273G3 from the Childrens Hospital Oakland Research Institute contains the entire human PRL gene, including the pituitary and extrapituitarypromoters as well as 115 kbp upstream and 38 kbp downstream of the gene-encoding sequences. Purified DNA was used for pronuclear microinjection into fertilized C57Bl/6J X DBA2 hybrid mouse oocytes. Two founder lines were produced (BAC-h8 and BAC-h30). (J:204079)
