Exons 2 and 3 were flanked by lox-P sites, followed by a FRT-Hygro-FRT cassette in intron 3. Recombinase activities removed FRT-flanked hygromycin sequence and subsequently exons 2 and 3, resulted in frameshift mutation. Quantitative PCR confirmed the absent of mRNA expression. (J:211683)
