Glutamic acid codon 138 was changed to an alanine codon (p.E138A) through an A-to-C point mutation, and an FRT flanked neomycin selection cassette inserted into intron 5. Subsequent breeding to an FLP1 expressing transgenic excised the neomycin selection cassette. The mutation mimics a psoriasis-associated mutation in human. (J:286229)
