一段5kb的Hoxa5基因片段（包含时序调控区、臂丛脊髓（BSC）增强子、Hoxa5的近端启动子、两个外显子以及Hoxa5的内含子）驱动了这个转基因中的Cre表达。在Hoxa5基因的第1外显子下游，插入了一个带有IRES-EGFPcre的 cassette。在构建的3'端，添加了包含中胚层（MES）增强子和额外7.4kb下游序列，包括驱动肺和胃（L/G）表达的增强子，形成了14.5kb的Hoxa5/Cre转基因。通过筛选，获得了8个创始系，其中447B线被确立。这条线有6个转基因拷贝。（来源：J:207917）
