Tg(UBC-CCR5,-CD4)19Mnz

A transgene composed of human CCR5 and CD4 on a single poly-protein transcript separated by a ribosomal skip 2A was placed downstream of thehuman ubiquitin C promoter. A linearized 4.5 Kb fragment containing the transgene was injected into C57BL/6J fertilized female pronuclei. Founder line 19 was chosen based on surface expression of hCD4 and hCCR5 on peripheral blood mononuclear cells as determined by flow cytometry. (J:200013)
