Cre-mediated cassette exchange replaces the gene trap cassette with a CAG promoter driving ubiquitous expression of a fusion of exons 1 and 2 of Ptf1aos with 456 bp of the Etn2 sequence with the retrotransposon insertion that produces the Etn2Sd phenotype (mGm13336) followed by a polyadenylation sequence and FRT-flanked puromycin resistance cassette.
