Sequences encoding a primate heparin-binding epidermal growth factor (HB-EGF)/enhanced GFP fusion protein, an Frt-flanked neo/kanamycin resistance cassette and a polyadenylation signal were inserted by recombineering into a BAC vector containing the Ucp1 promoter. The purified BAC construct was injected into C57BL/6N fertilized oocytes. Line 445 was established. These mice were crossed to Tg(ACTBFLPe)9205Dym mice to excise the resistance cassette. (J:198491)
