A cytomegalovirus (CMV) promoter drives expression of the T cell receptor alpha and beta chain genes (Tcra and Tcrb) from the AHIII 12.2 T cell clone, which originated in a C57BL/6 mouse (H2b). This TCR recognizes the human self-peptide p1049 presented by the human HLA-A*0201 MHC molecule; it also recognizes the peptide p1058 (FAPGFFPYL) presented by the mouse MHC class I molecule H2-Db.
