Exons 2 - 5 were floxed and a neo cassette was inserted via homologous recombination. Cre mediated recombination deleted exons 2 - 5. In situ hybridization and western blot analysis confirms the absence of protein expression in brain sections and spinal cord and cortex lysates, respectively, from homozygous mice. (J:194894)
