Tg(Myh6-cre/PGR*)6297Mds

The Myh6 promoter was used to drive cardiac myocyte-specific expression of an inducible cre fused to the mutated ligand-binding domain of human PGR (amino acids 641-891). Three founder lines, 6306, 6297, and 6299, were generated with line 6306 showing the lowest level of cre protein by Western blot and lowest prevalence of ligand-dependent recombination, with 6299 showing the highest level of recombination. Copy number in 6297 was found to be intermediate, greater than 1 but less than in 6299 (c.# 10). (J:127215)
