在Vmp1基因的12号外显子3'端和Mir21序列的5'端插入了loxP位点。接着是FRT引导的PGK-puro/deltaTK选择座，后面跟着另一个loxP位点。Mir21和选择座随后通过与Tg(EIIa-cre)C5379Lmgd纯合小鼠杂交来去除。Northern blot和PCR结果显示MIR21已不存在。(来源：J:179235)
