A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 3. A floxed hygro-GFP cassette was inserted downstream of exon 3. Cre-mediated recombination removed exon 3 and the hygro-GFP cassette. The absence of protein expression was confirmed by western blot analysis on brain and sciatic nerve extract. (J:177866)
