LoxP sites were inserted flanking exon 3 and an FRT flanked neomycin selection cassette was inserted downstream of exon 3. Correctly targeted mice were crossed to Tg(Prm-cre)#Og mice to excise exon 3. Western blot analysis of heart extracts demonstrated the absence of protein product. (J:175042)
