在九号染色体上的BAC克隆中插入了一个Cre表达 cassette，后面跟着一个polyadenylation序列，这个操作发生在Sept4基因的第一个编码exon的起始ATG密码子之前。这样，Cre的表达就被BAC基因的调控序列驱动了。通过这个修改后的BAC克隆，产生了这个转基因。(引用: J:100256)
