在exon 1中插入了一个与Nespas相对的反向poly(A)序列和一个自我剪切的neo cassette。通过Cre介导的重组，neo cassette被去除了。通过新生大脑组织的RT-qPCR，证实了Nespas转录表达减少了94%（父源遗传）。对新生儿大脑组织的RT-qPCR显示，当外显子由母源遗传时，Nesp（Gnas）表达降低；而父源遗传时，表达增加（J:171195）。
