In(2Itga6-Evx2)44Ddu

Mice with the Itga6tm1Son allele containing a single loxP site between exons 24 and 26 in cis on chromosome 2 with Evx2/Hoxd13tm5.1(Hoxd11/lacZ)Ddu which also contains a loxP site but in reverse orientation to that in the Itga6 allele were crossed to Hprttm1(cre)Mnn mice. Cre expression resulted in inversion of a segment of chromosome 2 containing exon 26 of Itga6 and extending into the intergenic region between Evx2 and the Hoxd cluster. After the inversion, the Evx2/Hoxd13tm5.1(Hoxd11/lacZ)Dduconstruct and Evx2 were moved to a more centromeric location away from Hoxd. (J:170557)
