在BAC克隆RP23-306F6的起始密码子ATG，即Rerg基因的第一个编码外显子的调控序列下游，插入了一个带有polyadenylation序列的EGFP报告基因。这样，EGFP的表达由BAC基因的调控序列驱动。经过改造的BAC（BX2681）被用来构建这个转基因。(引用：J:100256)
