通过同源重组，将Foxn4基因座的exon 1替换为改良后的cre(icre)编码序列，构建了转基因小鼠。随后，一个由细菌中prokaryotic EM7启动子驱动的kanamycin抗性基因座（frt-flanked选择 cassette）紧随icre序列，通过Flp重组在细菌中被剔除。最终通过核内注射获得了三个奠基品系，其中表现最强烈组合的品系被选中进行进一步研究。参考文献中未提及具体品系编号。（来源：J:164670）
