使用大鼠生长激素基因(Gh1)起始密码子5'端的310bp片段驱动cre重组酶，构建了纯化后的载体，然后注入FVB受精卵中。通过Southern blot确定了Line b携带3个插入拷贝，进行了详尽分析。RT-PCR结果显示，pituitary中cre mRNA表达水平高，testis中较低，其他组织无表达（在E17期动物头颅提取物中也检测到了cre表达）(J:122251)。
