在一段包含S100b启动子的11.7kb基因组序列(-5387/+6357)的核定位序列-cre（nls-cre）polyA插件被插入到了起始翻译位点的上游。这个靶向构建被注入了C57BL/6胚胎的卵裂期细胞核。通过与转基因报告小鼠杂交，产生了六条杂交线，其中四条在成年大脑中展现出相似的重组模式。线20（Tg20）在心脏、肺、肾、脾、骨骼肌和血管中未见重组，而在皮肤和肝脏中则有部分重组。（来源：J:159160）
