在基因座64,308,443至64,316,218处插入了pGT0Lxf这种带有β-geo报告基因的splice-acceptor序列和polyA尾巴的基因捕获载体，导致该基因包括exon 3的对应部分（nt 64,312,349-64,312,475）的缺失。E11.5同源突变胚胎的定量RT-PCR和Western blot结果显示没有mRNA和蛋白质表达。而X-Gal染色显示在E10.5杂合和纯合突变胚胎中lacZ的表达可检测到。插入点下游的31个基因片段均未表达（J:277387）。
